This is your month my sweet and passionate Elysse. In 17 days you will enter the world of double digits. 🥹 I was brought back to this photo this morning and it brought such a wave of emotions.

I managed to capture this photo a mere seconds before you walked on stage to perform your solo for one last time while the four of us were in Florida for your sister’s Jr Heat Force commitment. That day you showed such courage and strength and being there back stage and watching you brave and so composed nearly unraveled me.

This is such a reflection of your strong and loving character. You are not afraid to step forward, express exactly how you feel, even if sometimes it is loud and with such passion. I hope that you carry this with you always as you face different challenges and triumphs in your life. That you not lose these qualities despite what society may try to tell you.

You are sweet, caring, empathetic and full of so much energy. Sometimes we butt heads and we are both learning how to manage that and helping each other grow. I can’t wait to see what this new year unfolds for you. Love you my little hufflepuff (our little inside joke). 💕
