2024 taught me that in life, no matter what year it is, we will make plans and many times those plans will not go the way we wanted and we will make mistakes. We will also disappoint people.

2024 was full of really beautiful moments and really hard ones, and as it comes to a close I realize that each moment, whether good or bad, taught me to hold firm to this quote my girls and I say out loud at bedtime every night…

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you know.” AA Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

So I am moving forward with this reminder and truth etched in my heart. Because sometimes it’s easy to quickly believe the negative thoughts that swirl in my head, when I know deep down that I am not a purposely bad person. I’m human and I make mistakes and I hope to grow and learn from them.

Forgive yourself and forgive others.

I will work on asking myself in each situation that challenges me, what does God want me to learn from this?
