How I Fool My Body

The sleep deprivation phase (it is a phase right?!) continues. Day 18, but really who’s counting. I almost feel like it’s a badge of courage that I would love to proudly wear. Yes, I have survived 18 days of sleep deprivation. I’m almost 40 (13 days away) and I keep thinking I am way too old for this sh&$!

I found a way to fool my body though, a secret weapon that gets my adrenaline rushing and you would swear I had a full night’s sleep AND enjoyed a delicious Venti white chocolate mocha frappuccino from Starbucks.

It’s MUSIC!

I’ve created a playlist of some dance songs that get me jumping (yes actually jumping) out of my seat and dancing around our living room. I call the list Dance Tiny, Dance! Because tiny is a little love moniker we call our girl C and she loves these songs too. So when she’s home and she hears the playlist, we both start with our dance moves. We’re a sight for sore eyes!

And right now at the top of my playlist is Karmin’s “Brokenhearted” – I literally can not sit still when I hear this song.

So dance your heart out, because Music sure makes everything better!!
