There’s this page I follow on Facebook called Proverbs 31 Ministries that I really enjoy reading. It always seems to touch on a subject close to heart and that I’ve been thinking about, or reading it brings me back to what really matters.
I loved everything about the above post because I too want to be intentional in my marriage. Particularly now that we have our two girls because it does become difficult to get that time for each other where we can really talk and connect or just share in enjoying something we love to do.
I love the part that says “I want to dream together, plan together, laugh together and grow together”.
This past week we have been so blessed that we have had time to do some things that we enjoy and just going out alone and be together, especially because some days are hard and filled with challenging moments. There are moments of frustration and low patience and moments we snap at each other. But at the end of the day we can hold hands and pray and tell each other and show one another that we love each other and that we are in this together. It’s not going to be easy, because that is not what marriage is about, but as long as we can love and laugh and grow together and be intentional and allow God to guide us, then I know we are in good hands.
So I like these little reminders to keep it intentional and not forget the foundation of our family – one another, our love, and our commitment to each other and our girls.
