One of our neighbors and my mommy friend is the Coach for this group and I’m so thankful that she invited me to join. The program is part of Shakeology but for now I’m just doing the workouts. What I love is that the workouts are just 30 minutes a day which I can totally fit in during the day.
30 minutes is definitely kicking my butt because these aren’t beginner moves. There’s times I need to modify and I still end up drenched in sweat at the end.
What keeps me motivated and inspired is how great I’m feeling each time I work out and with each day that passes. More importantly though is that our oldest daughter, who is just a few days shy of turning 4, loves to see me workout. She cheers me on and even does some of the moves with me. Today at the end of the workout she gave me a high five and said “let’s clap for mama!” I love that she’s watching me do something so positive and that its reinforcing to her that working out and exercise is good and fun. It’s awesome because she sees her papa working out and now her mama too.
The great thing is that I’m getting to that point where I don’t dread and wonder will I have the will power to do the workout, instead it’s becoming more “I can’t wait til it’s time for my workout”.
