We are back from our vacation in Sequioa National Park and it was amazing! I can’t wait to share the photos and details of our three night stay there, and will do this soon. I will say that we will definitely be making this trip a yearly family tradition!
A few posts back I mentioned I joined MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) this past Spring and how my first experience with this wonderful support group was fantastic. I am SO excited to begin the new year in the Fall which is being called A Fierce Flourishing.
I am ready to flourish and I realize that it will be an ongoing journey for me.
I’ve also started to read a book that our table leaders gifted each of us at our table on our last day of MOPS. It’s called Carry On, Warrior!
I wanted to share one of my favorite quotes so far from this book because it reminds me of the principle thought I need to remind myself of in order for me to flourish.
I am not afraid. I was born to do this.
The author mentions this quote is taken from words spoke by Joan of Arc.
I want to remember this phrase whenever I find myself doubting my capacity to be a good “fill in the blank”.
I will remind myself that God wanted me here ready to experience whatever it is I may be afraid of and that I was born to get through it.
